Cyborg Santos Says Ronda Rousey ‘Knows She Can’t Compete,’ Is ‘Hiding’ at 135
The instigators extraordinaire over at TMZ.com have added more fuel to the Ronda Rousey-Cristiane “Cyborg” Santos fire. Never mind the fact that they don’t compete in the same organization anymore, or that Santos can’t make the 135-pound weight limit to challenge Rousey for her UFC title -- let’s hear them talk some more smack anyway!
The latest invectives come from Cyborg in response to Rousey’s claims that the former Strikeforce champion is a “fraud” who “nearly killed women’s MMA” with after testing positive for steroids. Predictably, the Brazilian did not take these comments well.
“Meet me at 140 pounds,” Santos told TMZ, “then ask her if I’m a fraud after I knock her ass out!
“Obviously she knows that she can’t compete with me -- take the time, maybe [Ronda] will get good enough and gain some confidence,” she continued. “Until then... I am the best and do not want to talk about hypotheticals. I fight in Invicta and I’m proud to be helping save women’s MMA!”
Santos faces countrywoman Ediane Gomes at Invicta FC 5 on April 5 in Kansas City, Mo.
