Figueroa to Take on Landin in PBC on NBCSN Featured Undercard Bout
With a weekend already loaded to its gills with boxing action
across the globe, Premier Boxing Champions will be among the more
visible events on Saturday with another edition of PBC on
NBCSN.
The action will come to fight fans live at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT from the Scottish Rite Auditorium in San Antonio, Texas with a headliner featuring junior middleweights Just DeLoach and Junior Castillo. PBC announced late Wednesday that the featured undercard bout will see junior featherweight prospect Brandon Figueroa taking on Cuba’s Oldier Landin in a six-round affair.
Local fighter Figueroa (7-0, 5 KOs), the younger brother of former
world champion Omar Figueroa, has looked terrific since turning pro
a year ago. He scored three quick knockouts in 2016 and hopes to
continue that trend against Landin, who scored a knockout of Alex
Roman in February.
The rest of the non-televised undercard will see Justin Pauldo (6-1, 4 KOs) take on Jesus Aguinaga (4-3-1) in six-rounds of lightweight action; Laurynas Arbaciauskas in a four-round super lightweight battle against Omar Reyes (1-3); Steve Woodall (10-1-1, 7 KOs) in a six-round lightweight bout against an opponent to be determined; Brandon Soto (1-0, 1 KO) opposite John Van Meter (0-1) in a four-round super featherweight clash; super featherweight Brandin Chaulker (3-0, 1 KO) in a four-round bout versus Daniel Arriaga (0-2-2); a four-round super middleweight attraction between Tommy Kamara and Rynell Riley; and Kendo Castaneda (9-0, 3 KOs) in a welterweight tussle.
The televised portion of the card will be rounded out by matchup pitting Ryan Karl against Mexico's Luis Solis, plus a battle of unbeaten prospects as Darwin Price takes on Semajay Thomas.
