Fonfara vs. Smith Headlines PBC on NBCSN Card June 18
Premier Boxing Champions will have a busy day on June 18, when the
promotion will have two different telecasts live from the UIC
Pavilion in Chicago.
After the ballyhooed PBC on NBC tripleheader anchored by Andrzej Fonfara taking on Joe Smith Jr., the action will switch over to NBCSN for a clash of unbeaten middleweights, as Hugo Centeno Jr. (24-0, 12 KOs) will fight Maciej Sulecki (22-0, 8 KOs). Their clash will be a 10-round affair and will be joined by more undercard battles depending on which fights fit into the primetime broadcast on NBC, according to officials.
The rest of the undercard action will see as unbeaten welterweight
Alex Martin (12-0, 5 KOs) opposing Juan Carlos Abreu (19-2-1, 18
KOs) in an eight-round bout; Jose Quezada (10-0, 6 KOs) will face
Cameron Krael (8-10-2, 1 KO) in a six-round lightweight affair; and
Ramiro Carrillo (10-0, 7 KOs) enters the ring in an eight-round
super lightweight bout against an opponent to be named.
The PBC on NBC telecast will open with a bantamweight championship
rematch as Juan Carlos Payano (17-0, 8 KOs) will do it again with
Rau’Shee Warren (13-1, 4 KOs) after Payano edged him via split
decision last August. Also slated for the main card is Erickson
Lubin versus Daniel Sandoval in a junior middleweight
encounter.
The PBC on NBC telecast goes live at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT. Coverage will immediately switch over to NBCSN with the undercard battles beginning at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
