HBO Boxing Weigh-In Results: Crawford, Lundy On Point
One of the best fighters on the planet will be in action Saturday
night defending his title inside the hallowed halls of Madison
Square Garden in New York City. Terence Crawford (27-0, 19 KOs)
will defend his WBO junior welterweight title against Hank Lundy in
the main event of an HBO-televised doubleheader.
Lundy (26-5-1, 13 KOs) came to the scale and easily made the 140-pound limit by weighing officially 138.2 pounds. “Bud” clocked in at 139.2 pounds but because the two had a scuffle at Thursday’s press conference, there was no staredown after the weigh-ins on Friday.
The opening bout of the telecast will see surging Puerto Rican sensation Felix Verdejo (19-0, 14 KOs) taking on William Silva (23-0, 14 KOs) in a 10-round lightweight encounter. Verdejo checked in at 135 pounds while the Brazilian weighed 134.4.
The HBO will be televised live on HBO starting at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
