M-1 Challenge 102 Card Features Three Title Fights
Russian mixed martial arts promotion M-1 Global
has announced three title fights for its June 28 card in
Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
M-1 Challenge 102 will be headlined by a welterweight
championship bout between undefeated hometown local Shavkat
Rakhnonov (11-0) and title challenger Tiago
"Bahia" Varejao Lacerda (28-6-1).
In the co-main event slot, and vying for the vacant bantamweight belt, is another home turf competitor in Sergey Morozov (14-4). He will take on Russian Alexander Osetrov (5-0-1).
Kicking off the night of championship fights will be M-1 Challenge featherweight champion Nate "The Train" Landwehr (12-2). The American will defend his strap in a rematch against Russian Viktor Kolesnik (15-3-1). Their first clash in 2017 saw Landwehr secure a split decision victory and earned both fighters a Fight of the Year designation within the promotion.
Two more bouts round out the main card with five fights filling up the undercard and three matchups on the pre-undercard. The M-1 Challenge 102 main card will stream live on Fite.TV for $7.99, with the undercard available for free.
