PBC on ESPN Weigh-in Results: Beterbiev on Target, Maderna Heavy
Premier Boxing Champions returns to ESPN on Saturday
night with what should be an explosive light heavyweight matchup
featuring one of the most promising contenders in the sport against
a battle-tested veteran.
Unbeaten Artur Beterbiev, a multiple-time world amateur champion and 2008 Olympian, will take on tough Argentinean Ezequiel Osvaldo Maderna in a 12-round affair. At Friday’s weigh-ins, only Beterbiev (9-0, 9 KOs) came in on point, though, as he tipped the scale at 174.2 pounds. Maderna (23-2, 15 KOs) checked in at a heavy 177.2 pounds.
The PBC on ESPN card will go down from inside the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, Canada and televised live in the U.S. on the cable giant starting at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.
