PBC on ESPN Weigh-in Results: Lipinets, Castillo Cleared to Fight
The Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, Miss. will be the site for the
second of three Premier Boxing Champions cards this week. Premier
Boxing Champions on ESPN returns with a junior welterweight
showdown between Sergey Lipinets and Walter Castillo, a pivotal
matchup for both men.
Lipinets (9-0, 7 KOs) has transferred his solid kickboxing pedigree nicely to the Sweet Science since turning pro and he looks to continue his ascent up the 140-pound ladder on national television Friday night. Castillo (26-3-1, 19 KOs), a Nicaraguan veteran is hoping to play spoiler for the Kazakhstani’s plans, however.
At Thursday’s weigh-ins, both men came in perfectly on weight. Castillo clocked in at 141.2 pounds while Lipinets tipped the scale at 141.
ESPN will televise the action live beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
