PBC on NBCSN Weigh-in Results: Charlo, Alcine Make Weight

The NRG Arena in downtown Houston is expected to be a raucous venue on Halloween night as plenty of local boxers will ply their trade inside the squared circle. Headlined by unbeaten junior middleweight Jermell Charlo taking on former world champion Joachim Alcine, the action will be televised live via Premier Boxing Champions on NBCSN beginning at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT.

At Friday afternoon’s weigh-in, all of the main card fighters were as professional as ever, with each making the contracted weights, thus allowing the fight card to carry on as planned.

Alcine (35-7-2, 21 KOs), a former WBA 154-pound champion, was the first to the scale. The Montreal-based Haitian easily made the junior middleweight limit, coming in at 152.75 pounds. Charlo was a bit on the heavy side, though, as he clocked in at 155.75 pounds.

The opening bout of the telecast will see Tony Harrison (21-1, 18 KOs) face off against Cecil McCalla (20-2, 7 KOs) a 10-round junior middleweight affair as well. McCalla tipped the scale at 155.5 pounds while Harrison weighed 156.
