PBC on Spike Weigh-in Results: Stevenson, Williams Make Weight
Premier Boxing Champions returns to Spike Friday night
with a light heavyweight championship showdown between Adonis
Stevenson and Tomas Williams Jr. The two will square off for
Stevenson’s title inside Centre Videotron in Quebec City, Canada
and at Thursday’s weigh-ins, both combatants came in under the
175-pound limit, giving their fight the greenlight.
Williams Jr. (20-1, 14 KOs) looked spot-on at the scale as he weighed in for his first-ever world title bout. The Maryland native, who is riding an impressive three-fight winning streak, with his last two triumphs coming via second-round knockout, officially weighed in at 174.6 pounds.
Stevenson (27-1, 22 KOs) will aim to defend his WBC light heavyweight crown for the seventh consecutive time and he’ll have the local crowd heavily behind him. “Superman” was a bit lighter than the challenger as well; Stevenson came in at 173.6 pounds.
The action will go live on Spike beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.
