Sherdog Radio Network.
Mendes was scheduled to face Manvel Gamburyan on the UFC 157 card. An injury to the Armenian judoka scrapped the bout and Mendes’ participation all together. Not only is Wheelock head of the Bellator commentating team, but he moonlights as a licensed boxing referee. In conjunction with Rob Hinds, Wheelock also puts on seminars throughout the country in an effort to help better educate people interested in getting in to mixed martial arts as a judge or referee.
Pavelich is one of the most outspoken people in mixed martial arts. The MFC promoter is back in action with MFC 36 on Friday night. The Canadian fight promoter joined “Beatdown” to talk about promoting MMA in a “UFC world.” Pavelich also shares why he thinks he has been successful while so many other shows have failed.
