RFA 39 Weigh-in Results: Barcelos, Moffett Given Green Light for Title Scrap

current titleholder Raoni
Barcelos looks to defend his crown against Bobby
Moffett.
RFA 39 will be televised live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
Of the main event combatants, Illinois-based Moffett was the first
to the scale and “The Wolfman” hit the target weight easily.
Moffett officially weighed in at 144.4 pounds, looking to win his
fifth straight while taking the Brazilian’s title in the
process.
Not to be outdone, Barcelos looked equally ready as he tipped the scale right on the money. Barcelos, who has won two in a row after suffering his first professional defeat, checked in officially at 144.8 pounds.
In the featherweight co-main event, prospect Luis Saldana will look to continue his ascent up the rankings when he takes on veteran contender Mike Santiago, who has looked stellar as of late, having won his last seven, with all but one coming via submission. Saldana weighed in at 146 pounds but Santiago came in at a whopping 153.2. There was no official word at the time of the weigh-in whether Santiago would be fined but neither Saldana nor his camp protested. There also was no mention of whether the fight was agreed upon to be a catchweight before the fighters took to the stage.
