ShoBox Weigh-in Results: Lopez, Reynoso Cleared to Scrap
Showtime will bring fight fans yet another edition of ShoBox: The
New Generation, but on Friday, the cable giant will celebrate its
15-year anniversary with a quadrupleheader. The main event will a
10-round super bantamweight affair between Adam Lopez and Roman
Reynoso and at Thursday’s weigh-ins, all eight of the main card
fighters made weight.
Lopez (15-0, 7 KOs) strolled to the scale and came in officially at 121 pounds, as did Reynoso (18-1-1, 7 KOs). Co-featured fighters Jerry Odom (13-2-1, 12 KOs) and fellow super middleweight Julius Jackson (19-1, 15 KOs) both tipped the scale exactly at the division’s 168-pound limit.
Showtime will televise the action beginning at 10 p.n. ET/7 p.m. PT. Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket, Conn. will serve as the host location.
