Spike TV to Air 2 Hour-Long Bellator Specials on Curran-‘Pitbull’ Rivalry
Spike TV will air a pair of hour-long specials to promote the
upcoming Bellator
MMA featherweight title bout between champion Pat Curran
and challenger Patricio
“Pitbull” Freire.
“Countdown to Curran-Pitbull II” premieres tonight at 11 p.m. ET/PT. According to a release from Bellator, the special “delves into the psyche of both Curran and Pitbull as they prepare for their upcoming rematch.” The fight takes place Sept. 5 at Bellator 123 in Uncasville, Conn. Spike will re-air the special on Sept. 4 at 11 p.m. and Sept. 5 at 7 p.m.
“Birth of a Rivalry: Curran-Pitbull I,” which documents the pair’s first meeting, debuted on Aug. 29 and will air again on Sept. 5 at 6 p.m.
