Two More Bouts Added to BAMMA 28 on Feb. 24
The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts announced Friday
afternoon that two more bouts have been tacked onto BAMMA 28, which
goes down Feb. 24 at SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland.
Newly-crowned Lonsdale lightweight champion Rhys McKee will stand opposite Myles Price in his first title defense, while John Redmond will take on Pelu Adetola in a middleweight affair.
McKee is coming off the biggest win of his career and looks to keep
his success rolling in front of his hometown fans. “Skeletor” has
yet to lose in the pro ranks and at BAMMA 27 last December, he
flattened Jai Herbert
in just 1:47 to capture the promotion’s belt. The Next Generation
N.I. product has stopped every man he’s faced.. Price has won just
twice in his last seven bouts but he’s only been stopped twice.
Redmond is aiming to rebound from a submission loss to Leeroy Barnes at a Cage Warriors event in November. “Johnny Jitzu” had won two straight bouts prior to his most recent loss, and wants to reverse his career arc against Adetola, who has lost three consecutive bouts and five of six overall.
BAMMA 28 will be anchored by a lightweight bout between Norman Parke and Paul Redmond. Also slated for the bill is Ronnie Mann against Damien Lapilus for the BAMMA featherweight title.
