By The Numbers: Amanda Lemos vs. Jessica Andrade
Amanda Lemos has designs on someday challenging for the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s strawweight crown, and those ambitions now bring her face to face with one of the division’s most formidable and accomplished competitors.
The Marajo Brothers Team export will put her five-fight winning streak on the line when she tackles onetime champion Jessica Andrade in the UFC Fight Night 205 main event on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Lemos has compiled a 5-1 record since she joined the UFC roster in 2017. The former Jungle Fight titleholder last appeared at UFC Fight Night 199, where she was awarded a contentious split decision over Angela Hill on Dec. 18. Andrade, meanwhile, has lost three of her past five bouts. She last fought on Sept. 25, when she struck down Cynthia Calvillo with punches in the first round of their UFC 266 pairing.
