By The Numbers: Danny Kingad vs. Kairat Akhmetov

The pursuit of the same prize will bring Danny Kingad and Kairat Akhmedov together when their flyweight title eliminator headlines One Championship “Winter Warriors 2” on Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. A rematch with incumbent 135-pound champion Adriano Moraes could await the winner sometime in the first quarter of 2022.

Kingad has rattled off seven wins across his past eight outings. The Team Lakay standout last competed at One Championship “Fire and Fury,” where he took a three-round unanimous decision from Wei Xie on Jan. 31, 2020. Akhmedov, meanwhile, enters the cage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. He last appeared on Dec. 18, 2020, when he laid claim to a unanimous verdict over Dae Hwan Kim at One Championship “Collision Course 2.”
