By The Numbers: Jack Hermansson vs. Sean Strickland

Middle-tier middleweights with upper-tier aspirations will duke it out in the UFC Fight Night 200 headliner, as the Ultimate Fighting Championship returns to the familiar haunts of the UFC Apex on Saturday in Las Vegas. Neither Jack Hermansson nor Sean Strickland can afford a misstep at this stage of the process.

Hermansson has rattled off six wins across his past eight appearances. The former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship titleholder last competed at UFC Fight Night 188, where he was awarded a unanimous decision over Edmen Shahbazyan in their three-round pairing on May 22. Strickland, meanwhile, enters the cage on the strength of five consecutive victories. He last fought on July 31, when he cruised to a five-round unanimous decision over Uriah Hall in the UFC on ESPN 28 main event.

As Hermansson and Strickland pore over the remaining details associated with their high-stakes showdown, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point.

33: Years of age for Hermansson, who was born on June 10, 1988 in Uddevalla, Sweden.

6: Hermansson wins by submission, accounting for 27% of his career total (22). His methods of choice: two rear-naked chokes, two guillotine chokes, one armbar and one heel hook. Hermansson owns 11 other wins by knockout or technical knockout and five more by decision.
