Kayla Harrison seems to thrive on pressure, and it only increases from this point forward.

The undefeated American Top Team export will put her perfect 10-0 record on the line when she meets Genah Fabian in the 2021 Professional Fighters League women’s lightweight semifinals, their three-round encounter headlining PFL 8 on Thursday at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Harrison has been viewed as a potential cornerstone for the promotion since she signed in 2016. The decorated judoka last appeared at PFL 6, where she submitted Cindy Dandois with a first-round armbar on June 25. Fabian, meanwhile, enters the cage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. The City Kickboxing standout last competed in June, when she cut down Julija Pajic with a second-round head kick and follow-up punches at PFL 6.

As Harrison and Fabian pore over the remaining details associated with their semifinal confrontation, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

31: Years of age for Harrison, who was born on July 2, 1990 in Middletown, Ohio.

4: Harrison wins by submission, accounting for 40% of her career total (10). Her methods of choice: three armbars and one keylock. Harrison holds four other victories by knockout or technical knockout and two more by decision.

75: Combined victories between the nine women—Dandois, Mariana Morais, Courtney King, Larissa Pacheco (twice), Bobbi Jo Dalziel, Morgan Frier, Moriel Charneski, Jozette Cotton and Brittney Elkin—Harrison has defeated. They own a cumulative winning percentage of .619 (75-46).

6: First-round finishes on the Harrison resume. She executed her fastest stoppage at PFL 3 on May 6, when she put away Morais with punches in just 83 seconds.

2: Olympic gold medals hanging in the Harrison trophy case. She became the first American to strike gold in judo at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, then repeated in Rio de Janeiro four years later.

31: Years of age for Fabian, who was born on Sept. 5, 1989 in Auckland, New Zealand.

3: Fabian victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 75% of her career total (four). Her list of victims: Pajic, Charneski and Joanne Obolevics. Fabian owns one other win by decision, having outpointed Laura Sanchez at PFL 3 on May 6.

.350: Cumulative winning percentage between the four women—Pajic, Sanchez, Charneski and Obolevics—Fabian has defeated. They own a combined record of 7-13.

74: Inches of reach for Fabian, or two inches longer than former two-division Ultimate Fighting Championship titleholder Daniel Cormier. She will have an eight-inch reach advantage against Harrison.

41: Strikes by which Fabian outlanded Sanchez and Pajic in her two appearances during the 2021 PFL regular season. She connected with 100 strikes while absorbing only 59 in return.
