By The Numbers: Mauro Cerilli vs. Amir Aliakbari
Some heavyweights age gracefully in mixed martial arts—a fate Mauro Cerilli and Amir Aliakbari undoubtedly hope awaits them.
The two One Championship brutes will toe the line against one another as part of the One on Prime Video 1 main draw this Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore. Cerilli has rattled off seven wins across his past nine outings. The former Cage Warriors Fighting Championship titleholder has not competed since he took care of Abdulbasir Vagabov with second-round punches at One “Unbreakable 2” on Jan. 22, 2021. Aliakbari, meanwhile, enters the cage on the heels of back-to-back defeats. He last fought on Sept. 24, when he succumbed to first-round punches from Anatoliy Malykhin at One “Revolution.”
