The road to a potential $100,000 payday and a possible spot on the 2024 Professional Fighters League roster will begin in earnest for Simeon Powell and Mohamed Amine when they headline PFL Europe 1 on Saturday at Vertu Motors Arena in Newcastle, England. The event features competitors from the light heavyweight and women’s flyweight divisions.
Powell looks like a potential light heavyweight building block for the PFL. The Great Britain Top Team product last competed at PFL 9, where he wrecked Joao Paulo Fagundes with leg kicks in the second round of their Aug. 20 pairing. The 6-foot-4 Amine, meanwhile, has yet to break through the regional ceiling. He last appeared on March 25, when he submitted to a keylock from Kevin Oumar in the third round of their clash under the UAE Warriors flag.
