By The Numbers: UFC Fight Night 223
Mackenzie Dern showed she is far more than just a grappler at UFC Fight Night 223.
The Brazilian jiu-jitsu blackbelt dominated Angela Hill in all aspects of their strawweight bout en route to a lopsided unanimous decision triumph in Saturday’s headliner at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. In addition to a dangerous submission game, Dern showcased heavy-handed standup and vicious ground-and-pound in an impressive performance against a veteran foe.
