Lina Lansberg has been alternating wins and losses since she made her way into the Ultimate Fighting Championship, and a win over Chiasson could be the spark she needs to ascend in the rankings.

As the two bantamweights gear up for UFC Fight Night 160 in Denmark, learn more about them through the numbers below.

Age and overall experience

At 37 years old, Lansberg is nine years older than Chiasson, who celebrated her 28th birthday on July 27. The woman known for her devastating elbows debuted professionally on Dec. 12, 2012, against current UFC bantamweight Pannie Kianzad at an event called Trophy MMA 1. Lansberg would fight five more times in different promotions before getting the call from the UFC, where she is now a six-fight veteran. Her pro record is 9-4.

Chiasson made her pro debut on Oct. 21, 2017, at an even called Caged Warrior Championship 16 in her home state of Louisiana. After that, Invicta FC took her in. Soon after, however, Chiasson joined The Ultimate Fighter 28. She went on to win TUF 28 and has been fighting in the UFC ever since. As a professional, she is undefeated in five fights.

Common opponents:

Pannie Kianzad

Lansberg got a taste of quality competition in her very first professional bout. The “Elbow Queen” faced off against Swedish-Iranian prospect Pannie Kianzad in a baptism by fire. Back then, Kianzad already had two fights under her belt, and she stopped Lansberg via TKO in 4:44 of Round 3.

Chiasson crossed paths with Kianzad inside the TUF house, and they both made it to the finale. On her way to the finals, Kianzad decisioned Katharina Lehner and Julija Stoliarenko while Chiasson took the easier, faster route by stopping Larissa Pacheco and Leah Letson. Due to these finishes, Chiasson was favored to win the tournament. Sure enough, she submitted Kianzad at 2:11 of Round 2 to earn the win and the six-figure contract.

Gina Mazany

Both Lansberg and Chiasson hold a win over Mazany. While the former needed three full rounds and three judges’ nods to earn the victory, the latter did not even require two minutes to get her hand raised following a TKO. After dropping Mazany with clean punches, Chiasson followed up with a few hammerfists until referee Chris Tognoni had seen enough.

Post-fight bonuses

Chiasson only began her UFC career in November of last year, and she already has one post-fight bonus to her name. At UFC Fight Night 151 last May, she rallied late in the first round and battered Sara Moras at the start of Round 2 to come out with a TKO victory and a Performance of the Night bonus. On the other hand, Lansberg has yet to come up with an Octagon performance worthy of a post-fight bonus. Advertisement
