Prochazka, 31, enters the Octagon on an eye-popping 13-fight winning streak. However, the Czech Republic native has been on the sidelines since a shoulder injury forced him to vacate the light heavyweight championship in November 2022. Prochazka has secured 28 of his 29 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. Pereira, meanwhile, seeks to become a two-division champion after enjoying a brief title reign at 185 pounds. The 36-year-old Glover Teixeira protégé last appeared at UFC 291, where he was awarded a split decision over Jan Blachowicz on July 29.
