Lawal: Mousasi’s ‘Beatable’

Muhammed
“King Mo” Lawal can’t help but get a little frustrated about
the fanfare surrounding Strikeforce light heavyweight champion
Gegard
Mousasi.
Lawal, who challenges Mousasi for his title at Strikeforce “Nashville” this Saturday at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., certainly isn’t as taken with the Armenian-Dutch fighter as others may be.
“He’s beatable,” said Lawal. “I haven’t seen him go out there and
just destroy people like people say. He wins. That’s it. I go out
there to end careers, you know what I’m saying? He goes out there
to win… When I fight, I try and end your career.”
In this Sherdog.com video exclusive, Lawal, a 2005 U.S. world team member in freestyle wrestling with six MMA victories, evaluates Mousasi’s strengths and weaknesses, including the former Dream champion’s standup ability.
“I think I can strike with this dude,” said Lawal. “What he going to do? Hurt me? I’ve yet to see him knock anybody out.”
