Michael Bisping: By The Numbers
Michael Bisping did not spend much time licking his wounds.
No longer atop the Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight division, Bisping will collide with “The Ultimate Fighter 17” winner Kelvin Gastelum in the UFC Fight Night 122 headliner this Saturday at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Shanghai, China. “The Count” answered the call to fill in for Anderson Silva, who was removed from the event after the United States Anti-Doping Agency notified him of a potential violation. One of the sport’s most successful and polarizing figures, Bisping last competed at UFC 217 on Nov. 4, when he was choked unconscious and surrendered his 185-pound championship to the returning Georges St. Pierre at Madison Square Garden in New York. The loss snapped a run of five consecutive victories for the Englishman, his longest such streak since he started his professional career 14-0.
