Round 1
The fighters touch gloves and the bout is under way. High clinches and puts Brenneman's back into the cage. Brenneman attempts a trip and gets High to the floor. The Pennsylvanian looks to work from side as chants of "Spaniard" echo throughout the Bojangles Coliseum. Brenneman continues to work using knees to the body of High. The Body Shop product gives up his back and scrambles to his feet. On the feet High looks to trade, but is taken down again. Brenneman closes the round in full guard. 10-9 Brenneman.
Round 2
"Spaniard" chants echo as the crowd favorite comes out for round two. High meets him with a couple of right hands. Brenneman ducks under and scores a single leg. From half guard, Brenneman looks to work and passes to mount, but never secures the position. This allows High to get back to his feet. Brenneman loooks for a single leg and gets caught in a guillotine position. Unable to control his opponent's body, High is forced to let the hold go and try to stand. Brenneman attempts another takedown, but the Dream veteran sprawls. High is riding out the round on the turtled Brenneman and stands. The round ends. 10-9 High.
Round 3
The uneventful round sees Brenneman on top for most of the frame. High had a guillotine, but it wasn't enough.
Official scores: 29-28 (twice) and 30-27 for Brenneman, who takes the unanimous decision.
Gerald Harris vs. Mario Miranda
Round 1
The fighters start the round exchanging punches and kicks. Harris takes the center of the cage and eats a Miranda left hook to the body and a grazing left hand. Harris blocks a Miranda right head kick. Miranda drops Harris with a right hand and looks to take the IFL veteran's back. Harris manages to get back to his feet. Harris flurries at the end of the round and tags Miranda with a hard right hand. Miranda is out of sorts and back pedals. With 11 seconds remaining Miranda eats one final punch that puts him on the mat and out of the fight. The ref halts the fight at 4:49. Miranda complained about the stoppage, but it was warranted.
Yushin Okami vs. Lucio Linhares
Round 1
Referee Dale Frye oversees this middleweight bout. Linhares takes the center of the cage and looks to land his right hand. Okami circles and paws with his right hand. Okami pops the Brazilian with a left kick to the body that forces Linhares back. "The Spartan" attempts a double leg, but Okami is on top. After little action on the floor, Linhares finds his way back to his feet. Okami is finding Linhares' face often with his right and and drops Linhares with a knee. Okami goes on the attack as his bloodied opponent saves a TKO stoppage by spinning to guard. Okami lands a few forearms to the face of Linhares. The Japanese fighter gets to half as the round expires. 10-9 Okami.
Round 2
Linhares eats a right hand jab of Okami to start the second frame. Okami tastes a right hand, but answers with a left. Another right, left combination lands for Okami. Linhares seems to eat nearly every punch from the southpawed Okami, and is looking worse for the ware. Referee Dale Frye halts the battle to check the cut. The doctor intervenes and stops the contest at 2:47, giving Okami the TKO win.
Caol Uno vs. Gleison Tibau
Round 1
The lightweights touch gloves to start the bout. The southpawed Tibau looks to land hard with a jab/cross combo. Uno throws a kick, but is forced to the floor. In a scramble the fighters get back to the feet. Uno is much smaller than Tibau, but it has made little difference at the midway point. Both fighters continue to paw and Tibau starts to land. Uno is on the defensive, and Tibau stands to fire down more shots but ends up in half guard. Tibau takes the back of Uno and the Japanese fighter flattens out. Tibau pounds away until rferee Bill Clancy saves Uno from more punishment at 4:13 of the first.
Robert Emerson vs. Nik Lentz
Round 1
Referee Dale Frye starts this fight. Emerson eats a Lentz low kick to start the contest. Emerson clinches, but Lentz is able to move away from his opponent. The former Marco Ruas student throws a right head kick, but the Minnesotan protects and circles away. Lentz reverses an Emerson takedown and looks for a guillotine. Emerson defends while standing and gets out of the hold. The two men separate and Lentz puts "The Saint" on his back with a trip. Emerson is able to stand and they separate. A minute remains, and Lentz initiates another clinch. Lentz works the body of Emerson with knees and looks for a single leg. The round expires. 10-9 Lentz.
Round 2
Lentz has a small cut under his right eye going in to the middle frame. Emerson wings a left hand that grazes the face of Lentz. The Minnesota Martial Arts student answers with a head kick that misses. Emerson lands a right hand to the face that forces Lentz to retreat. Emerson goes to attack, but is taken down. On the floor, Lenz looks to pass and makes it to side. Emerson gets back to guard but has to settle for half as Lentz feeds his leg through. Ninety seconds remain and Emerson manages to scramble back to his feet. The two men are clinched up against the fence and they separate. Emerson lands a right hand that drops Lentz to his knees. The Minnesotan is not out of the fight and gets a slam takedown. Very close period that goes 10-9 for Lentz.
Round 3
The fighters walk to the center to shake hands before the third frame. Lentz fires a right head kick that is blocked and eats an Emerson low kick to the inner part of his right thigh. Lentz goes back to what has been working for him and initiates a clinch. Emerson finds himself on the floor after being tripped by his opponent. Lentz looks to work from the open guard of Emerson, and he doesn't take long to pass to half. Lentz looks to pass and gets to side. Emerson is on the defensive and is mounted for a brief moment, but suffers no consequences before getting back to half. Lentz is constantly looking to improve his position and gets the mount again. After landing one decent elbow, Lentz is forced back to half. The round expires with Lentz in half guard. 10-9 Lentz.
Official scores: 29-28 (twice) and 30-27 for Nik Lentz, who takes the unanimous decision.
"He hits really hard and he's a great fighter," said Lentz in his post-fight in-cage interview with Joe Rogan. "I wanted to take him down and strike with him, but I kinda hurt my shoulder. It popped out so I knew I had to win this one on the ground."
Jacob Volkmann vs. Ronys Torres
Round 1
Torres swings wildly at Volkmann and opens up before a takedown. Volkmann isn't going down without a fight and manages to get on top. Torres attempts a kneebar, but "Christmas" has none of it. Volkmann looks to take the back of his opponent, but has yet to attempt to put a hook in. On the floor Torres looks to get his base, and he reverses the situation. Now on the feet it is Torres who is controlling the back of Volkmann. The Minnesotan spins to face Torres and is taken down. This grappling affair is received well by the North Carolina crowd. Torres looks to work from the guard and eventually passes, but Volkmann has good enough hips to get back to guard. The round expires and the crowd seems pleased. 10-9 Torres.
Round 2
Round two starts with a Volkmann right hand that grazes his opponent's face. Torres circles and takes the center of the cage. Torres looks to flurry and lands decent shots to the face of Volkmann. The Minnesotan attempts and secures a takedown. Torres gives up his back and has a base. This time Volkmann gets in a hook and looks for a choke. Nothing is there and he moves to side. Volkmann is riding but not landing anything. The crowd is starting to grow restless, but still seems entertained. Sixty seconds remain and Volkmann looks comfortable riding out the round to even up the fight going in to the third. Some punches to the face of Torres close out the round. 10-9 Volkmann.
Round 3
The final stanza starts with a flurry from Torres that allows Volkmann to duck under and score a double leg. From full guard, Volkmann starts with a body and head attack. Torres isolates an arm and tries an armbar and a triangle, but Volkmann uses the attempt to pass the guard. From half, Volkmann lands a nice right forearm to the face and Torres rolls to give his back. Volkmann is again riding the back of Torres, but doesn't look for a hook. Torres uses his base to get back to his feet and Volkmann retains back control and drags him to the floor with ninety seconds remaining. Not much action as the fight gets its first solid boos with a minute remaining. Volkmann finishes the round on top securing the round, and most likely the fight. 10-9 Volkmann.
Volkman takes a split decision with scores of 30-27 (twice) and 28-29 (Torres).
Andre Winner vs. Rafaello Oliveira
Round 1
Referee Dale Frye will oversee the final preliminary bout of the evening. Winner takes the center of the cage and peruses Oliviera. The two men clinch briefly, but Winner makes space and cirles away. Oliviera dives for a takedown off of a jab-hook combination and settles for a clinch. Winner avoids being planted and circles away. The Englishman avoids another "tractor" takedown by sprawling, but has to play on the floor for a moment before standing back up as Oliviera pulls guard. Winner lands a looping right hand back on the feet, as well as a right low kick. Thirty seconds remain. Winner paws a double jab and a left to the body to close the first frame. 10-9 Winner.
Round 2
The second round starts with a missed front kick for Oliviera. Winner throws a double jab that comes up empty, but another left and then a right hand finds the face of "Tractor." The two men clinch and Oliviera looks to put the Brit on the floor, but fails to do so before separating. Winner fires a kick that is checked. Oliviera answers with a kick of his own that lands on the outside of Winners left leg. Winner fires a right hand to the body, but it comes up short. Oliviera is tripped to the floor after a kick attempt, but Winner prefers that the fight go back to the feet. The round expires. Not a lot of action. 10-10 stanza.
Round 3
The final round of the bout sees Winner actively pursue Oliviera. Its not long before Winner eats a left kick to the groin, which cause Oliviera to apologize. After a brief respite, the men are back at it. Oliviera flurries with lefts and rights and "The Ultimate Fighter" veteran blocks the punches. Winner launches a three-punch combination that grazes Oliviera. The round continues with little damage from either fighter. Oliviera attempts a flying triangle, but Winner pushes him down with ease. Winner lands a right to the face and a left hook that forces Oliviera to back up. The two men clinch and have a brief exchange, which saw Oliviera stun Winner, but he cannot capitalize as the round expires. 10-9 winner.
Official scores: 30-27 (twice) and 29-28 for the winner by unanimous decision, Andre Winner.
Ross Pearson vs. Dennis Siver
Round 1
Pearson and Siver exchange a few glancing blows to kick off the first televised fight of the night. Pearson catches a low kick and lands a quick combination. Pearson has set up in the center of the cage and is pushing forward against Siver. Pearson lands a low kick but Siver answers with punches. Siver with a nice left kick to the body. Siver is bleeding from under his left eye. Pearson jumps in with a big combination punctuated by a nice kick. Pearson leaps in with a superman punch that lands. Pearson lands a hard shot that seems to have hurt Siver. He pushes Siver to the ground and takes his back. Pearson tries to soften him up but Siver rolls to his back, giving Pearson mount. It doesn’t last long as Siver scrambles to his feet and lands a flurry on a retreating Pearson. The fighters exchange right up to the horn.

Round 2
Pearson finds his mark with a low-kick to start off the second. Another punch followed by a low-kick for Pearson. Siver tries to take the fight to the ground but Pearson shrugs him off easily. Siver just misses with the spinning back-kick. Pearson jumps in with a kick that lands and backs Siver off a bit. Siver shoots again and grabs the single-leg takedown. Siver trying to pass to half but Pearson scrambles to his feet. Siver has his back briefly but slips off after getting to high. Pearson is up and the lightweights square off again. Pearson pistons a jab to the face of Siver who is bleeding pretty good from the nose and a cut under his left eye. Pearson lands a hard one-two, he is cruising with just under a minute to go in the second. Pearson pops him with another jab and the round comes to a close.

Round 3
Pearson is hanging in the pocket ready to trade. He is getting the better of most of the early exchange again in the third. Pearson lands a lead left but Siver answers with a right hand of his own. Siver throws a pair of kicks but misses with both. Pearson lands another jab. Pearson ducks under a punch and lands a big right. Siver, unfazed, ducks under for a double and sets up in Pearson’s guard with just over two minutes left. Pearson gets and underhook and utilizes it to get back to his feet. Pearson gets a body clinch and throws Siver to the mat with a minute to go. He tries to mount but Siver wriggles free. Siver throws another spinning back-kick and Pearson avoids the brunt of it again. Siver desperately tries to take it back to the ground with just seconds left but Pearson escapes and the horn sounds ending the fight.

Nate Quarry vs. Jorge Rivera
Round 1
Quarry finishes a punching combination with a hard right kick to the body. Quarry steps in again with a right low-kick and Rivera answers with one of his own. Quarry evades a right hand and delivers a right hand counter. Rivera loads up his right hand and lands a pair of them. Quarry steps back awkwardly but he is okay. Another right hand by Rivera finds Quarry’s face. Rivera lunges in with wild punches and he drops him with a right hand. Quarry struggles back to his feet as Rivera hammers him to the body with a knee. Quarry is up and looks to be recovered. Quarry lands a good elbow but Rivera keeps up the pressure. Quarry is down again from a big right, he is struggling for a takedown but Rivera is relentless. Quarry is back up, amazingly, but Rivera puts him back down with another right with about 30 seconds left. Rivera is ground and pounding from the top as referee Mario Yamasaki lurks close by. The horn sounds, rescuing Quarry from the one-sided assault.

Round 2
Quarry is busted up after the first round but he marches right after Rivera to kick off the second frame. Rivera blasts him with a right then a left that drops Quarry. Rivera pounces and pounds away until Yamasaki calls off the bout at the 0:29 of the second period.
Roy Nelson vs. Stefan Struve
Round 1
Nelson looks like a child next to Struve but it makes no difference. Nelson blasts Struve with a huge overhand right hand that crumbles him to the mat. Nelson punches away until referee Dan Miragliotta steps in to pull him off early in the first round. Struve is bleeding profusely from the nose as Nelson plays to the crowd by rubbing his big belly. The official time is 0:39 of the first.
Kenny Florian vs. Takanori Gomi
Round 1
Both fighters are treading lightly early on as they feel each other out. Not much is happening 90 seconds into the main event bout. Florian lands a nice left and Gomi shoots but Florian stuffs it easily. Florian pops Gomi’s head back with a stiff jab. Gomi lands a nice lead right hook but Florian is keeping him on the end of his jab. Florian lands a hard left leg-kick. Florian follows the jab with a hard left and Gomi shoots. Florian stuffs him again but Gomi answers with a hard left of his own. More jabs from Florian as the opening round ends.

Round 2
Florian continues pushing forward with his jab as the second round starts. Gomi throws a hard combination that backs Florian of for a moment. Florian gets right back to the gameplan, pistoning the jab over and over. Gomi looks frustrated and leaps in with a big flurry that Florian easily moves away from. Gomi goes to the body with a hard hook and again with a lead right. Gomi is working well to the body in the second and lands another left to the breadbasket of Florian. Florian misses with a head kick. Gomi lands a one-two and Florian answers with a low kick. Gomi misses with a huge haymaker and Florian pops him with the jab again.

Round 3
Florian grabs the Thai clinch and tries to knee but Gomi extricates himself. Gomi lands a big left on the end of a combination that snaps Florian’s head to the side. Florian immediately shoots in and hits a nice takedown. Gomi gets his guard while Florian sets up to strike. Florian lands a big elbow and passes to half. Florian uses an arm-triangle setup to mount. Gomi gives up his back and Florian softens him up with punches. Gomi tries to turn but it gives Florian the angle for the rear-naked choke and it’s a wrap at 2:52 of the third. Florian sinks the submission and sends Gomi down to defeat in his UFC debut.

The second round starts with a missed front kick for Oliviera. Winner throws a double jab that comes up empty, but another left and then a right hand finds the face of "Tractor." The two men clinch and Oliviera looks to put the Brit on the floor, but fails to do so before separating. Winner fires a kick that is checked. Oliviera answers with a kick of his own that lands on the outside of Winners left leg. Winner fires a right hand to the body, but it comes up short. Oliviera is tripped to the floor after a kick attempt, but Winner prefers that the fight go back to the feet. The round expires. Not a lot of action. 10-10 stanza.
Round 3
The final round of the bout sees Winner actively pursue Oliviera. Its not long before Winner eats a left kick to the groin, which cause Oliviera to apologize. After a brief respite, the men are back at it. Oliviera flurries with lefts and rights and "The Ultimate Fighter" veteran blocks the punches. Winner launches a three-punch combination that grazes Oliviera. The round continues with little damage from either fighter. Oliviera attempts a flying triangle, but Winner pushes him down with ease. Winner lands a right to the face and a left hook that forces Oliviera to back up. The two men clinch and have a brief exchange, which saw Oliviera stun Winner, but he cannot capitalize as the round expires. 10-9 winner.

Ross Pearson vs. Dennis Siver
Round 1
Pearson and Siver exchange a few glancing blows to kick off the first televised fight of the night. Pearson catches a low kick and lands a quick combination. Pearson has set up in the center of the cage and is pushing forward against Siver. Pearson lands a low kick but Siver answers with punches. Siver with a nice left kick to the body. Siver is bleeding from under his left eye. Pearson jumps in with a big combination punctuated by a nice kick. Pearson leaps in with a superman punch that lands. Pearson lands a hard shot that seems to have hurt Siver. He pushes Siver to the ground and takes his back. Pearson tries to soften him up but Siver rolls to his back, giving Pearson mount. It doesn’t last long as Siver scrambles to his feet and lands a flurry on a retreating Pearson. The fighters exchange right up to the horn.

Round 2
Pearson finds his mark with a low-kick to start off the second. Another punch followed by a low-kick for Pearson. Siver tries to take the fight to the ground but Pearson shrugs him off easily. Siver just misses with the spinning back-kick. Pearson jumps in with a kick that lands and backs Siver off a bit. Siver shoots again and grabs the single-leg takedown. Siver trying to pass to half but Pearson scrambles to his feet. Siver has his back briefly but slips off after getting to high. Pearson is up and the lightweights square off again. Pearson pistons a jab to the face of Siver who is bleeding pretty good from the nose and a cut under his left eye. Pearson lands a hard one-two, he is cruising with just under a minute to go in the second. Pearson pops him with another jab and the round comes to a close.

Round 3
Pearson is hanging in the pocket ready to trade. He is getting the better of most of the early exchange again in the third. Pearson lands a lead left but Siver answers with a right hand of his own. Siver throws a pair of kicks but misses with both. Pearson lands another jab. Pearson ducks under a punch and lands a big right. Siver, unfazed, ducks under for a double and sets up in Pearson’s guard with just over two minutes left. Pearson gets and underhook and utilizes it to get back to his feet. Pearson gets a body clinch and throws Siver to the mat with a minute to go. He tries to mount but Siver wriggles free. Siver throws another spinning back-kick and Pearson avoids the brunt of it again. Siver desperately tries to take it back to the ground with just seconds left but Pearson escapes and the horn sounds ending the fight.

Nate Quarry vs. Jorge Rivera
Round 1
Quarry finishes a punching combination with a hard right kick to the body. Quarry steps in again with a right low-kick and Rivera answers with one of his own. Quarry evades a right hand and delivers a right hand counter. Rivera loads up his right hand and lands a pair of them. Quarry steps back awkwardly but he is okay. Another right hand by Rivera finds Quarry’s face. Rivera lunges in with wild punches and he drops him with a right hand. Quarry struggles back to his feet as Rivera hammers him to the body with a knee. Quarry is up and looks to be recovered. Quarry lands a good elbow but Rivera keeps up the pressure. Quarry is down again from a big right, he is struggling for a takedown but Rivera is relentless. Quarry is back up, amazingly, but Rivera puts him back down with another right with about 30 seconds left. Rivera is ground and pounding from the top as referee Mario Yamasaki lurks close by. The horn sounds, rescuing Quarry from the one-sided assault.

Round 2
Quarry is busted up after the first round but he marches right after Rivera to kick off the second frame. Rivera blasts him with a right then a left that drops Quarry. Rivera pounces and pounds away until Yamasaki calls off the bout at the 0:29 of the second period.
Roy Nelson vs. Stefan Struve
Round 1
Nelson looks like a child next to Struve but it makes no difference. Nelson blasts Struve with a huge overhand right hand that crumbles him to the mat. Nelson punches away until referee Dan Miragliotta steps in to pull him off early in the first round. Struve is bleeding profusely from the nose as Nelson plays to the crowd by rubbing his big belly. The official time is 0:39 of the first.
Kenny Florian vs. Takanori Gomi
Round 1
Both fighters are treading lightly early on as they feel each other out. Not much is happening 90 seconds into the main event bout. Florian lands a nice left and Gomi shoots but Florian stuffs it easily. Florian pops Gomi’s head back with a stiff jab. Gomi lands a nice lead right hook but Florian is keeping him on the end of his jab. Florian lands a hard left leg-kick. Florian follows the jab with a hard left and Gomi shoots. Florian stuffs him again but Gomi answers with a hard left of his own. More jabs from Florian as the opening round ends.

Round 2
Florian continues pushing forward with his jab as the second round starts. Gomi throws a hard combination that backs Florian of for a moment. Florian gets right back to the gameplan, pistoning the jab over and over. Gomi looks frustrated and leaps in with a big flurry that Florian easily moves away from. Gomi goes to the body with a hard hook and again with a lead right. Gomi is working well to the body in the second and lands another left to the breadbasket of Florian. Florian misses with a head kick. Gomi lands a one-two and Florian answers with a low kick. Gomi misses with a huge haymaker and Florian pops him with the jab again.

Round 3
Florian grabs the Thai clinch and tries to knee but Gomi extricates himself. Gomi lands a big left on the end of a combination that snaps Florian’s head to the side. Florian immediately shoots in and hits a nice takedown. Gomi gets his guard while Florian sets up to strike. Florian lands a big elbow and passes to half. Florian uses an arm-triangle setup to mount. Gomi gives up his back and Florian softens him up with punches. Gomi tries to turn but it gives Florian the angle for the rear-naked choke and it’s a wrap at 2:52 of the third. Florian sinks the submission and sends Gomi down to defeat in his UFC debut.
