Lightweight champion Will Brooks took home an event-high $72,000 for his successful title defense against Dave Jansen ($12,000) at Bellator 136.
The California State Athletic Commission released salary figures from the event to Sherdog.com on Monday. After a slow start in the first round, Brooks outworked Jansen to capture a unanimous nod in the evening’s headliner, which took place at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, Calif., last Friday.
