Combate Americas Heads to Guadalajara on Sept. 27 with ‘Mexico vs. USA’ Card
Combate Americas is returning to Guadalajara, Mexico, on Sept. 27.

Gutierrez is 5-3 as a pro and coming off of decision win over Chris Avila in his debut with the promotion on May 11. The 28-year-old was a contestant on ‘The Ultimate Fighter: Latin America2” where he beat Daniel Salas by decision then knocked out Marco Polo Reyes. In his UFC career he went 0-2 before being released. Gibson, meanwhile, is 7-3 and set for his second fight in Combate Americas after he losing his debut to Rafa Garcia in April 2018.
“We have a lineup filled with some of the most exciting new stars in our sport and a classic Mexico vs. USA showdown in the main event that will highlight our return to Guadalajara, one of Combate Americas’ favorite cities in Mexico,” said Combate Americas CEO Campbell McLaren in a release.
The co-main event of the card will see Marcelo Rojo take on Victor Madrigal at bantamweight, while a strawweight bout between Saray Orozco and Silvana Gomez will also be featured on the card.
