After opening his Ultimate Fighting Championship stint with six consecutive victories, Francis Carmont has been released from the promotion following three straight losses.
The middleweight fighter announced the news via Facebook on Wednesday. While this is an obvious roadblock in the Tristar Gym product’s mixed martial arts career, Carmont plans on continuing to get better.

The 32-year-old Carmont owns notable triumphs over Tom Lawlor, Lorenz Larkin and Costas Philippou, among others. He is 22-10 as a professional with 16 of those triumphs by way of knockout, technical knockout or submission.
