UFC light heavyweight champion Jon Jones has signed a sponsorship deal with sports drink giant Gatorade.

Jones’ representatives at First Round Management announced the deal on Thursday morning, revealing that the Gatorade logo will appear on the champion’s fight shorts when he meets Alexander Gustafsson this Saturday in the UFC 165 main event from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto.

The announcement marks another marquee sponsorship deal for “Bones,” who signed a deal with multinational sports apparel corporation Nike last year. Jones captured the UFC light heavyweight title in 2011 and has defended his title five times, tying Tito Ortiz’s record for successful defenses at 205 pounds. Jones last competed in April, when he suffered a ghastly toe injury but nevertheless made quick work of “TUF 17” rival Chael Sonnen, scoring a first-round technical knockout over the veteran at UFC 159.

Gatorade was created in 1965 at the University of Florida and became the official sports drink of the NFL two years later. The drink was purchased by the Quaker Oats Company in 1983 and was then bought by PepsiCo in 2001. In addition to its long-standing relationship with the NFL, Gatorade is also the official sports drink of both the NBA and Major League Baseball.
