Unbeaten Prospects Joseph Morales, Roberto Sanchez To Meet at UFC Fight Night 114 in Mexico
The UFC's return to Mexico now has two new, undefeated prospects in tow.
The promotion has added a flyweight contest between 8-0 Joseph Morales and 7-0 Roberto Sanchez to its UFC Fight Night 114 card. The UFC's Spanish-language portal revealed the fight pairing on Monday.
UFC Fight Night 114 takes place on Aug. 5 at Mexico City Arena in Mexico City and is headlined by a flyweight showdown between rising contenders Brandon Moreno and Sergio Pettis. Though not official, the event's main card is expected to air live on Fox Sports 1, while its undercard will stream on UFC Fight Pass.
The 22-year-old Morales has posted six stoppages in his eight career wins, most recently punching out Sean Santella at Cage Fury Fighting Championships 64 in March. Morales was featured in a recent episode of “Dana White: Lookin' For a Fight” based around ths Santella victory, paving the way for the Team Alpha Male product's Octagon debut.
Sanchez, 31, won the vacant Legacy Fighting Alliance title at LFA 14 in June, armbarring previously undefeated Jerome Rivera in the third round to take the title. It was the sixth straight submission win for “Little Fury.”
