Islam Makhachev added at UFC on Fox 19

(PRESS RELEASE) – KHK MMA's secret weapon, Islam
Makhachev (12-1), will be returning to the lightweight division
in April 2016 as he meets the American Drew Dober
(16-7) in the "Ultimate Fighting Championship" UFC on FOX 19.
The fight booking was announced by the UFC on the evening of Wednesday 17 of February.
The event UFC on Fox 19: Nurmagomedov Vs Ferguson will be held on
April 16 at Amalie Arena, Tampa Florida. It will be headlined by
Khabib
Nurmagomedov as he marks his comeback to the big league
representing none other than the KHK MMA team.
Fighting out of Makhachkala , Dagestan and representing KHK MMA, Makhachev was signed by the UFC with an 11-0 undefeated record, and was victorious over longtime vets Ivica Truscek and Yuri Ivlev. Other victories of his also include wins over promising prospects such as Mansour Barnaoui, Rander Junio, Valdimir Egoyan, and Migel Grigoryan.
In his second appearance in the Octagon, he was met by defeat by Adriano Martins at UFC 192. The defeat snapped his 12 fight win streak and was Makhachev’s first loss since his MMA debut.
"I have learned a lot after my previous defeat and it taught me much about myself. This time I am preparing harder for my upcoming fight and there will be obvious changes."
Headlining UFC on Fox 19 is Makhachev’s longtime friend and teammate Khabib Nurmagomedov who returns to the Octagon with a flawless MMA record of 22-0-0. He will be facing Tony Ferguson 21-3-0 in a 5 round contender eliminator bout.
“This will not be a simple fight for Khabib, his opponent is a very serious contender”, Makhachev tells. “I think the fight will go all 5 rounds and Khabib will win Via Unanimous decision.”
Makhachev gives an interesting pre-thought on Nurmagomedov fight to come. These two talents, one up and coming prominent team – KHK MMA Team, will make this a UFC event not to be missed.

where he showcased his wrestling and grappling skills, submitting
the latter at the 2:38 mark of the second frame via rear-naked
choke.
