RING OF COMBAT 48 SUPERFIGHT!
Feb 14, 2014 Comments
(PRESS RELEASE) -- New York - Fresh off his win at Ring of Combat
47 where he would capture the ROC Lightweight title, Chris Wade
(6-1) will meet New Jersey’s Frankie
Perez (8-0) at ROC 48 in one of the most anticipated matchups
in ROC history.
Not since Chris Weidman met Uriah Hall at ROC 31 has a fight been talked about this much on the east coast. “This fight is on the level of Weidman versus Hall,” affirmed Lou Neglia, Ring of Combat president. “That fight was a very risky fight for both but look at them now, Weidman wears UFC gold and Hall is a contender for them. I feel that the winner of Wade and Perez will have their very next fight in the UFC,” continued Lou.
Staying true to his formula, “Great fights make great fighters,” Lou wasted no time in beginning the negotiations for Wade vs Perez after ROC 47. “This is a great fight for the fans,” said Lou. “This is a risky fight for the fighters but this what Ring of Combat is all about. We will always put the best in with the best. The fans should also thank Wade and Perez for taking this high octane but risky fight,” continued Lou.
More details to come for Ring of Combat 48 along with quotes from Wade and Perez, full fight card and event information.
