Rewind: ESPN's Mike Fish, Bellator Recap
The latest Sherdog Radio Network "Rewind" takes a special look at two of the big developments in the MMA this week, the decision by the Nevada commission to eliminate testosterone use exemptions and Bellator MMA launching its tenth season.
First, in a "Down To Business" segment, host Jack Encarnacao welcomes ESPN.com investigative reporter Mike Fish to discuss his impactful story on TRT use in MMA that was published this week. Fish talks about the mechanics behind the piece, from public records request to getting Vitor Belfort on the record. Fish also gives his thoughts about Nevada's action.
Second, it's the return of our "First Person" feature, as Encarnacao takes a look at the sights and sounds of Bellator's event this past Friday at Mohegan Sun Casino, which set the table for a showdown between mercurial fighters Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and "King" Mo Lawal. The feature includes interviews with Mohegan regulator Mike Mazzulli discussing what the commission knew about the scuffle between Rampage and Lawal in the cage, and the post-fight verbal volleying.
