Ultimate Fighting Championship bantamweight Cody Stamann is a man with many options for when he returns to the Octagon. During this week’s edition of “Back Talk,” the No. 10-ranked bantamweight talked about his interest in facing Top-10 fighters like Raphael Assuncao and Pedro Munhoz. He even went in-depth on wanting to be Munhoz’s replacement at UFC 251 against former lightweight champion Frankie Edgar. However, a fight he claims he has long wanted but does not expect to get any time soon, would be against the hottest name in the division in Sean O'Malley.

“I’ll fight him. I’ve said all kinds of sh*t in interviews [and] he won’t even look me in the eyes when he sees me,” Stamann told Sherdog. “Sean O’Malley knows. He knows what he’s trying to do. He’s trying to buy his time, and it’s smart. I think he realizes there are 12 [or] 13 guys that can beat him. And some guys you’ve probably never even heard of that can beat him in a fight. Any guy that can wrestle, put his hands up, and dip, duck, dodge and get on the inside of him. O’Malley’s not a big dude. A guy like me gets a hold of him; it’s going to be hell for him. O’Malley almost got beat by Terrion Ware, and I beat him on five-days’ notice. They’re not giving me Sean O’Malley. I just feel like a bully every time I say his name. I’m talking sh*t to the teacher’s pet really. Maybe eventually, but it’s not going to happen anytime soon.”
