Anton Turkalj Looking for Another Quick Finish at Brave CF 40
Anton Turkalj wants to put on a show for his home country supporters.
On Aug. 24, Turkalj (5-0) will face Ibo Aslan (8-0) in the co-main event of Brave CF 40. Turkalj plans to move up to the heavyweight division soon, but he has accepted a 216-pound catchweight match for now.
Before turning pro, the IMMAF amateur veteran won a European Championship in 2017 and medaled in 2018 European and the 2017 IMMAF World Championship. In his latest cage appearance, he earned a relatively easy technical knockout victory over Athanasios Herkeletzis (3-2) 1:15 into the first round of a 220-pound catchweight bout at Brave CF 37.
While speaking with Sherdog, Turkalj revealed that he accepted to compete again only three weeks after his latest fight because he didn't take any damage from his former opponent. He also confessed that he trained relatively little for the upcoming battle, given that he feels he has prepared for Aslan since the moment he started training MMA. Instead, he spent most of the time watching TV shows on Netflix. Nevertheless, he feels confident that he will emerge victorious at Brave CF 40 after another carnage.
