Mamed Khalidov Looks Forward to Completing Trilogy with Scott Askham at KSW 83
Mamed Khalidov is ready to conclude his trilogy with long-term rival Scott Askham on a high note at KSW 83.
Former two-time middleweight and light heavyweight champion Khalidov (36-8-2, 20-4-2 KSW) will face Askham for the third time in his career as the pair collide in the KSW 83 headliner on Saturday, June 3. The clash will go down in a soccer stadium in front of an estimated 50,000 people in Warsaw. Khalidov is coming off a first-round technical knockout win over Mariusz Pudzianowski in December. Surprisingly, Khalidov’s upcoming assignment isn’t a championship clash, even if it involves two former champions like Khalidov himself and Askham. Ahead of the fight, Khalidov feels fresh, relaxed, and confident in his abilities, although he’s not committing to anything regarding his future. When asked whether he would like to end his career as a KSW champion, Mamed said he had already been a promotional titleholder three times and had no specific dream of becoming a champion again before retiring.
