PBC on ESPN Weigh-in Results: Alexander, Martinez on Weight
Premier Boxing Champions will return to ESPN Wednesday
night for another dose of fistic lethality and thanks to all the
combatants’ hard work, the show will go on as planned. All of the
main card fighters made weight Tuesday afternoon clearing the way
for what should be an exciting evening of action.
Main event fighters Devon Alexander and Aron Martinez hovered around the welterweight limit but both were on point regardless. Martinez (19-4-1, 4 KOs) came in at 147.1 pounds while former world champ Alexander (26-3, 14 KOs) clocked in at 146.9.
The co-featured bout pits another former world champion in Fernando Montiel (54-4-2, 39 KOs) looking to gain a title in a fourth different weight class. He tipped the scale at 125.6 pounds for his fight against IBF featherweight champion Lee Selby (21-1, 8 KOs). Selby officially came in at 125.8 pounds.
