Unbeaten Flores, Kielczewski to Meet in PBC on ESPN Main Event Aug. 12
Premier Boxing Champions announced early Wednesday that unbeaten
featherweight contender Miguel Flores will face seasoned veteran
Ryan Kielczewski in the main event of a PBC on ESPN card on Aug.
12.
Flores (20-0, 9 KOs), an accomplished amateur champion, has looked sensational in the pro ranks as he’s gradually been increasing his level of opposition. He most recently bested tough vet Ruben Tamayo over 10 rounds, but in Kielczewski he’ll be standing opposite what should be the toughest opponent he’s faced up to this point.
Kielczewski (25-1, 7 KOs) is a crafty boxer whose only defeat was a split decision loss. He’s won three straight since that setback and “The Polish Prince” is looking to take a huge step forward in his career. Like Flores, their scheduled 10-round matchup is a pivotal one for both young contenders.
The co-featured bout will see Bryant Parella (14-0, 13 KOs) looking to add another knockout to his ledger when he faces former Olympian Yordenis Ugas (15-3, 7 KOs) in a welterweight encounter. Welterweight prospect Josue Vargas (5-0, 4 KOs) and junior lightweight Abraham Nova (1-0, 1 KO) will also be in action, though their opponents have not been announced yet. The PBC on ESPN event will be held at Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona, N.Y. Additional matches and live telecast details will be announced in the coming weeks.
