By The Numbers: Sean O’Malley vs. Merab Dvalishvili

Merab Dvalishvili bided his time, focused on what he could control and made it impossible for the Ultimate Fighting Championship to ignore him any longer.

The Serra-Longo Fight Team brute will challenge Sean O’Malley for the undisputed bantamweight crown in the UFC 306 headliner this Saturday at the Sphere in Las Vegas. Dvalishvili steps up to the plate with the wind of a career-best 10-fight winning streak at his back. He last competed at UFC 298, where he laid claim to a three-round unanimous decision over former two-division titleholder Henry Cejudo on Feb. 17. O’Malley, meanwhile, has rattled off three straight victories. The MMA Lab product last fought on March 9, when he retained his 135-pound championship with a five-round unanimous decision over Marlon Vera—the only man to defeat him—in their UFC 299 rematch.
