Video: New UFC Champ Max Holloway Greeted By Hometown Crowd Upon Return to Hawaii
Max Holloway is unquestionably proud of his Hawaiian roots, and the island is just as proud of him.
The newly-crowned UFC interim featherweight champion recently received a warm homecoming greeting upon his return to Waiane, Hawaii. Holloway defeated Anthony Pettis via third-round technical knockout to capture the interim crown in the UFC 206 headliner this past Saturday, his 10th straight victory in the promotion.
“Blessed” could receive an even bigger welcome should he be successful in his next venture. The win over Pettis sets up a future title unification showdown against Jose Aldo. UFC 208 in Brooklyn has been targeted for that matchup, but nothign is official as of now.
