PBC on FS1 Adds Solid Undercard to Sept. 15’s Event
The next installment of Premier
Boxing Champions’ PBC on Fox Sports 1’s “Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays” was
already intriguing with its main event between welterweights Sammy
Vasquez and Jose Lopez. The promotion announced Friday a solid
undercard bout to bolster the lineup.
Undefeated featherweight prospect Omar Douglas (14-0, 11 KOs) will lock horns with Braulio Santos (12-3, 10 KOs) in the televised opener. Douglas, who hails from Delaware, has been feasting on meager competition, including in his last outing where he bludgeoned journeyman Daniel Attah in the first round.
The Douglas-Santos bout replaces the original televised opener between Thomas Williams and Umberto Savigne when Savigne was injured in training.
Also slated to appear on the card will be local favorite Monty Meza Clay (36-5, 22 KOs) in an eight-round lightweight tilt.
The event will be telecast live Fox Sports 1 starting at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. IT will be held inside the Convocation Center at California State University of Pennsylvania in California, Penn.
